This year for World Mental Health Day, we took part in three initiatives to promote well-being for our pupils. This is really important for our pupils as we know that young people’s mental health is a priority in the current climate. Grange Park ensures pupils mental health and well-being is supported throughout the academic year through their lessons and through initiatives such as this.
We reminded pupils about the ‘Five Ways to Well-being’ – Connecting, Learning, Being Active, Giving and Taking Notice and encouraged pupils to make a pledge to try something new to improve their well-being.
We encouraged pupils to take part in ‘Britain Get Talking’ initiative which is a campaign with ITV where pupils were encouraged to take time to talk to people at home about their worries.
Finally, pupils took part in ‘Take 10 to read’ where pupils were given an opportunity during their English lessons to immerse themselves in a book or magazine of their choice.
After our drive to Reculver, Oak Class settled into the coastal classroom to begin their learning on maps. They looked on a large OS map to be able to find where Reculver is and used their surroundings to help identify what would be shown on the map around us.
We had the privilege of taking 16 pupils to Aosta in Italy for a skiing trip. It was such an incredible trip and the pupils had an amazing time.
This year we held a Christmas experience afternoon for our Stansted pupils, with a very special visitor!
This year for Children in Need we went 'Spotacular'! Pupils and staff were invited to wear their spots to support Pudsey and we raised an amazing £373.

Definitely dressed to impress, students and staff once again dazzled at World Book Day in some seriously superb outfits. From the White Witch to a spooky Ghost of Christmas Future, there was a perfect parade of fictional characters all competing for the coveted Best Costume competitions.
On Wednesday 12th October, we had our Annual Harvest Festival at Wrotham Church. Parents were invited to come and watch the performance, where we had a record number of volunteers and some excellent reading and singing from our Wrotham and Stansted pupils. The whole of the Wrotham site walked from school to the church and showed exceptional behaviour for the journey and during the performance in the church. The service consisted of stories, prayers, poems, hymns and a talk from Reverend Edwards. Our food donations were boxed up and passed on to the church who were taking them on to the local food bank to be distributed in the local area. Thank you to all who kindly made donations,
Our first school trip of the year took place in September, and was a whole school visit to Chessington.
To celebrate the incredible journey that our class of 2022 has been on, the last week of term saw our first Prom. It was held at The Moat, in Wrotham and pupils from Year 11 and Key Stage 5 were invited.
