Week beginning 13.07.20
This week we will be making Emergency Brownies! This only makes a small amount, and if you don't have the exact ingredients you can compromise.
For example if you don't have unsalted butter, you can use salted; and the soft brown sugar can be substituted for any sugar!
Ingredients:
50g unsalted butter
50g soft light brown sugar
1 tbsp maple or golden syrup
3 tbsp plain flour
3 tbsp cocoa powder
¼ tsp sea salt flakes
1 large free-range egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
50g dark or milk chocolate chips/chocolate cut up
Optional fillings:
50g walnut pieces or Raspberries or honeycomb...marshmallows etc..
Equipment:
Small loaf tin or foil tray (18 x 11 x 5cm)
Grease proof paper/parchment
Weighing scales
Measuring spoons
Small saucepan
Wooden spoon
Mixing bowl
Fork
Spatula
Measuring jug
Shape knife (if chopping chocolate or raspberries)
Chopping board (if chopping chocolate or raspberries)
