Pupils in Key Stage 2 and 3 have one Grange Park Time lesson a week. It provides opportunities for pupils to develop essential skills, work towards personal targets and for cross curricular learning. It also incorporates the PSHE (Personal, Social, Health Education) curriculum and content relating to the teaching and learning of RSE (Relationships and Sex Education.) Lessons will often include discussions, small group tasks, self and peer assessment and active learning methods. Topics are differentiated to pupils to both support and stretch their learning.

 

New for this academic year, Year 9 pupils will be working on AQA PSE units in their Grange Park Time lessons. The units selected encompass topics and areas that will enable pupils to develop knowledge, skills and work on personal targets while working towards achieving an Entry Level 3 Award.
