We left Grange Park School on the Saturday evening with a coach full of very excited pupils. As we drove through the mountains the excitement continued to grow with speculation from the pupils as to what mountains we would be skiing down. During the day, the pupils were in ski classes and the progress they all made throughout the week was unbelievable. Many of them went from struggling to put on their skis and boots to successfully skiing down the mountain. They spent the week working on their turns to control their speed, skiing through the woods and for some going off-piste. The pupils also enjoyed a variety of activities in the evening including a pizza night, bowling and an award evening in which the pupils received certificates and were celebrated for what they had achieved on the slopes throughout the trip. The pupils did themselves proud with how hard they worked whilst skiing. The instructors regularly mentioned how impressed they were with the pupils’ progress. Everyone had an incredible time on the ski trip with one student saying it was the best trip they had ever been on.
