Understanding Me
Understanding Me is one of the interventions run by the SaLTs at Grange Park School.
Understanding Me is a programme designed to support pupils to gain insight into their communication difficulties, develop coping strategies and learn how to explain their difficulties to others. It covers the following areas:

What is communication?

Which parts of the body are used in communication

The 8 different intelligences (picture, body, number, music, word, nature, people and self)

Sharing Information about your diagnosis with family and friends

Diagnostic terms such as: Language Disorder, Autism Spectrum Condition, Asperger’s Syndrome, ADHD

Autism awareness and celebration
You will be notified in writing if your child is being considered for the Understanding Me programme.
